Happy Valentine's Day! No doubt we'll see many engagements popping up on our Instagram feeds today - after all, it's the most romantic day of the year. One thing that I'd like to see happen on social media today is support - support for those of us who are in love, and those of us who are single. There's no superiority in either, so to be happy for one another, regardless of our relationship status, is the best kind of love that we can all put out into the world!
If you are single, let me know what you're up to in the comments! There's a lot of pressure if you're single to attend an anti-Valentine's Day party, have a 'Galentine's Day' evening with your mates, or even find a last minute date. But, to be honest, I don't think there's anything wrong with treating it like a normal day and spending it as such. If you want to be alone, that's cool. If you want to spend it with others, that's cool. You do you.
By the way - if you feel like taking your mind off Valentine's Day, for whatever reason, I find that getting lost in a podcast is a great way to pass the time. Call Your Girlfriend, Guys We F****d and Hysteria are all great podcasts with a feminist undertone.
