Summer scents evoke a certain romantic nostalgia for me. The beginning of summer brings with it a sense of hope for what's to come: BBQs, holidays, chatting in the garden late into the warm night. However, this means that, as summer ends, there is no greater sense of loss for a season coming to a close. Without sounding pessimistic, when summer ends, so does that hope.
